As far as weapons, new mods or characters go, you'll have to unlock them first via reinforcement packs (like a Premium Spectre Pack). You don't have to buy these with real money, you can use the credits you earned in matches as well. However, the new character kits should be greyed out, so you should be able to see them in the character selection screen. Furthermore, when you search for a quick-match, the new maps should be available to select, like the Hazard maps or Firebase London for instance and the new enemy type "Collectors" should also be available. If that's not the case you might have to install the latest patch (1.05 for PC, right-click on ME3 in Origin and choose "search for updates").
On PS3 the patch should be automatically installed once you're connected to the internet. Have you tried deleting and re-downloading the DLCs? Especially "Retaliation" is needed for the new enemy faction.
I deleted the game data (DLC's and patches), then redownloaded and reinstalled the DLC. I downloaded the multiplayer collection (all five DLC's) by the way. But when I loaded the game, I wasn't prompted to download the patches. I was able to play online though. So I checked anyway, and the DLC still didn't seem to have installed. Is there some reason why the patch download prompt wouldn't automatically appear? I checked the game data, and it read "mass effect 3 DLC and patches" just like how it was before I deleted it. Any ideas? Maybe I should redownload the game? I own the digital version.
I don't own ME3 on PS3 so I'm not sure, but with other games usually the first time you start a game up and there's a new patch, it prompts you to download it, as long as you're connected to the internet. The current version of ME3 on PS3 should be 1.09, you should be able to see which version you have if you display the information for ME3.
my version is 1.08. but im still not getting the automatic patch download prompt. im redownloading the game now, ill see if that works. but do you know of a way to manually install a patch on the ps3?
Mass Effect Legendary Edition version 1.05 is now available to download on PS4 and Xbox One. According to the official Mass Effect update 1.05 patch notes, the latest update various performance improvements. Apart from this, Mass Effect LE patch 1.05 also includes stability fixes.
In contrast to the original Mass Effect trilogy, which was spearheaded by BioWare's Edmonton studio, Mass Effect: Andromeda was handled by a new team out of Montreal. The game experienced a troubled production cycle that saw many members of its leadership team depart mid-project and numerous changes in creative vision. It was built using the Frostbite 3 engine, which required that BioWare construct all systems, tools, and assets from scratch as the previous entries of the series were built using Unreal Engine 3. Following the game's release, BioWare released several patches in response to critical feedback, but decided not to release further single-player downloadable content additions.
A week after Mass Effect: Andromeda's North American release, BioWare announced that they were planning on making improvements to the game in response to critical feedback from fans. In April, the company unveiled a patch that focused on bug fixes and improvements to the player experience, including better lip-syncing and faster movement around the galaxy map. The following month, another patch was released which focused on improvements to cinematic scenes. Further improvements were released through the month of July, before BioWare released a statement on August 19 which confirmed that there would be no further single-player downloadable content developed or released for the game, though multiplayer patches could continue.
