"Dry season" refers to the non-monsoon season, and "wet season" is the monsoon season. In India, the monsoon season which lasts 13 months starting from June to September. This cycle alone creates an annual averaged rainfall amount of more than 1500 mm on the entire Indian sub-continent. Monsoon is also responsible for discarding its surplus water to the oceans. As a result, the turbulence, debris and sand particles enter the marine water. These different parameters affect the survival of these marine creatures. Over half of the Indian population depends on seawater for their livelihood. Therefore, safe way to remove the sand and debris from the inshore and coastal region is a significant matter.
In fact, coral bleaching is a natural disaster that causes dramatic decline of the worldwide coral reef ecosystems, causing protected coral reefs to dry up. This results in the reduction of oxygen in the water and the starvation of the corals. Alarmingly, more than 90% of the coral reefs in the Caribbean and Australia are facing coral bleaching. Scientists have released great concern about this for the survival of the marine life in southern India.
In this context, first, deforestation is also a key issue. This happened as the entire land mass in the south of India is divided into small plots for agricultural use. Thus, extensive deforestation is regularly happening in our country illegally. As a result, 90% of the deforestation mostly occurs in the coastal and inshore areas.

This all leading to the beginning of coral bleaching in Indian coral and fish populations. As a result, people started to complain about the seaweed disappearing.
